About Cbus

Cbus is the leading industry super fund for the construction, building and allied industries. As one of Australia’s largest super funds, Cbus is passionate about providing strong retirement outcomes for members and helping employers manage their business superannuation needs.

At Cbus our members are central to how we operate, and we aim to do all we can to meet their needs. A big part of that is making sure all members have access to appropriate advice and support with their super.

Cbus believes in the cause of reconciliation and is committed to improving the financial security of First Nations people to help them achieve a dignified retirement.

The launch of our Reconciliation Action Plan in 2017 was a first step in our reconciliation journey and in trying to understand the needs of our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander members.

Our RAP working group is led by Senior RAP Advisor, Rory Smeaton, a proud Kurnai man from Gippsland.

AIST Indigenous Superannuation Working Group

Cbus is also a member of the AIST Indigenous Working Group, a cross-industry initiative that seeks to improve superannuation outcomes for Indigenous people.

The working group is focused on how industry can work together to remove some of the barriers our first Australians face when engaging with super; issues ranging from lack of identification, remoteness, financial literacy and insurance claims.
