Big Super Day Out
In 21 events around Australia the Foundation has helped to reconnect $24 million in superannuation across urban, remote and regional communities, helping more than 1600 Indigenous Australians.
COVID-19 IMPACT ON THE BIG SUPER DAY OUT EVENTS IN 2020
With the coronavirus upending the economy, individual businesses, and the lives of all Australians, we are trying to find ways to provide financial support to Indigenous Australians. Due to travel restrictions and limited community access, we have made the difficult decision not to proceed with the Big Super Day Out event for 2020.
We do no take this decision lightly, but the health and safety of our large group of supporters, and the protection of the communities we visit, means we have no other choice.
We fully intend to build on the $24 million in superannuation we have already rediscovered for Indigenous Australians as soon as we can.
WHAT YOU CAN DO TO HELP
First Nations Foundation is seeking Impact Partners within the Financial Services sector to continue its award-winning superannuation outreach events, called the Big Super Day Out, across the Australia in 2021.
The Foundation has the vision of a successful and independent financial future for all Indigenous Australians. As an Impact Partner on the national delivery of the Big Super Day Out, your organisation will be considered a leader in the Financial Services industry for addressing economic disparity, and a key player helping to shift the dial on the Indigenous economy in Australia.
For each year that the Big Super Day Out events run, collectively we have the ability to reach a minimum of 7 Indigenous communities and reunite $10 million in Indigenous superannuation. Without the support of the financial services industry, these life-changing results for Indigenous people nationwide would not be possible
