Australia’s largest Insurance Agency — Insurance Australia Group Limited (IAG) has committed to a new three-year partnership with First Nations Foundation (FNF) with the goal of strengthening financial literacy and economic resiliency in Indigenous communities.
The partnership will fund the expansion of FNF's digital training tools and the development of a new general insurance module within the award-winning My Money Dream program, lifting financial risk awareness and insurance knowledge.
In turn, IAG will draw on FNF's research to embed cultural capability into its own customer support and workplace policies.
FNF Chief Executive Officer Leah Bennett said that as a small Indigenous-led not-for-profit, FNF's impact grows when it has allies inside financial institutions.
"We know that there is urgent work to do to address systemic financial exclusion and intergenerational disadvantage. Through sharing our insights and increasing understanding of the challenges and barriers, we hope to make a sustainable impact for First Nations peoples."
