By learning the needs of our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander members, we can work with them to find ways to improve their retirement outcomes.

Big Super Day Out
Australian Retirement Trust is committed to helping to improve the retirement outcomes of Indigenous Australians. We are proud to be an impact partner of indigenoussuper.com.au. We have supported and participated in Big Super Day Out with First Nations Foundation in Brisbane, Cairns and Cape York to help Indigenous Australians connect with their super and Financial Wellness Weeks in Sydney, Cairns, Yarrabah, Mornington Island and Doomadgee.
Our Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) demonstrates our dedication to advancing reconciliation in Australia.
Our RAP focuses on improving financial literacy, promoting cultural awareness, and increasing access to superannuation services and potential benefits. We deliver practical actions that can help build stronger relationships and enhance the financial wellbeing of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders.
We also continue working to support Indigenous Australians through relationships with the Australian Securities and Investment Commission’s Indigenous Outreach Program, the Queensland Department of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Partnerships, and the Australian Institute for Superannuation Trustees Indigenous Working Group, which is focused on how to improve superannuation outcomes for Indigenous people.

Helping You Connect With Your Super
We have been working towards improving retirement outcomes for all our members by removing, where possible, barriers to access us and their superannuation.
For example, we utilise the AUSTRAC identification guidelines for people including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders, which allows for more flexible types of ID to be used where more typical forms, such as a driver’s licence or passport, are not available.
