Advancing Indigenous Women’s Financial Wellness on IWD 2021 and Beyond

  • Financial Standard’s publication celebrates International Women’s Day 2021 with donation
  • Financial Standard donates 30% of all new subscription fees in March to the First Nations Foundation
  • First Nations Foundation supports Indigenous woman across Australia through the Indigenous Women’s Financial Wellness initiative

The First Nations Foundation would like to acknowledge the Financial Standard’s generous support for our Indigenous Women’s Financial Wellness (IWFW) initiative.

Borne in response to COVID-19, IWFW supports Indigenous women to build financial resilience. The initiative’s program is in ongoing development with Indigenous financial experts and female community leaders to ensure cultural relevance and effectiveness.

Through literacy training programs, money skills workshops and an online community forum, IWFW has helped hundreds of Indigenous women build economic security. The current development of additional financial literacy resources to be shared amongst Indigenous community members marks ambitions to reach and educate even more women in 2021.

To support International Women’s Day 2021 and IWFW, the Financial Standard is donating 30% of all new subscription fees in March to the First Nations Foundation.

The First Nations Foundation’s team sincerely thanks the Financial Standard’s team and your new subscribers for your generous donations. We trust your support will help ensure that more Indigenous Women achieve financial prosperity on International Women’s Day and well beyond.
